Michael Piper, University of Queensland, Australia
Michael is a developmental neurobiologist based at the University of Queensland, Australia. His research focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating neural stem cell proliferation and differentiation, and how abnormalities to this process contribute to disease. He uses the developing mouse brain as a model. Current research is centred on understanding neural stem cell biology in models of macrocephaly, hydrocephalus and autism.
