Registered participants should please be aware that January is peak season in Mumbai and hotels near the meeting venue may not have availability this close to the meeting.  Should you need to make arrangements at hotels not listed on the ISDN website, we strongly advise you to choose hotels no farther than 5 km from the venue. Google maps has an accurate location for "TIFR, Mumbai". 5 km is approximately where "New Marine lines" is on the map. If your hotel is within this radius, you will take 15-20 mins to reach TIFR in a taxi at a cost of approx. US $ 2 each way (plan an extra 5-10 mins to find a cab in rush hour, and an extra 5-10 mins due to security procedures at the TIFR entrance). Traveling from locations farther than this will take disproportionally longer, due to rush hour traffic at the two railway termini, Churchgate and CST (Chatrapathi Shivaji Terminus). Googlemaps displays these accurately as well.

We strongly urge you to make your accommodation arrangements soon, and preferably at the Vivanta by Taj President or the Fariyas, listed on the website. The conference organizers will provide buses to transport delegates between these hotels and the meeting venue.

Both hotels are approx. 2 km from the conference venue. A shuttle service will be provided twice a day (two services in the morning and two each evening – times to be confirmed) to transport to and from the venue.

Travelling from the airport:

Delegates will need to prepay for the taxis before exiting the airport. The destination should be stated as "Colaba-Cuffe Parade" for the Taj President Hotel and "Colaba" for Fariyas Hotel.

This journey should take approximately 60 minutes by taxi; however, it can take up to 90 minutes in rush hour traffic.  Delegates should specifically ask the taxi to take the "sea link" (which costs an additional $1) to save time.
