François Guillemot, The Francis Crick Institute, UK
François Guillemot studied and obtained his PhD in Paris. He trained as a postdoc at Harvard Medical School and at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto. He started his research group in 1994 at the IGBMC in Strasbourg and moved in 2002 to the National Institute for Medical Research in London, which became the Francis Crick Institute in 2015 where he currently is senior group leader. Francois’ research focuses on understanding how interactions between signaling, transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms regulate neural stem cell fates in the embryonic and adult mouse brain and in cell culture models of human brain development.
